What others are saying about Spring to Mind…
I was lucky to be part of an art project were Olga was the facilitator for rytmical movement and body expression sessions and it was very helpful for myself and to get me out of the comfort zone and explore. She knows well how to gide you through the process. The fact that she speaks Spanish was also very helpful.

In my career as a psychologist and creative practitioner I have worked alongside Olga since 2010. We worked in many diverse communities including with people with disabilities, young indigenous kids and people from any cultures. She has the ability bring compassion and clarity to her work using playful and creative approaches. Her commitment and dedication to developing her skills as a therapist has been a pleasure to witness and I highly recommend her.

The work that Olga and her team do with the residents is amazing. The residents light up when they enter a room because they know something meaningful is about to happen.

It has also made it a more positive experience for staff to see what can be achieved from a meaningful intervention. […] It’s definitely the approach that Olga has to the residents that allows her to achieve the best outcomes
100% your techniques have helped me get through tough situations!

Its was great to see your work Olga, you have a wonderful infectious enthusiasm and a genuine respect and love for the elders. Your enthusiasm to learn is also a great asset! You can only grow and grow and grow in this work! Thank you for your commitment and ingenuity
I really like that Olga always proposes different strategies to tackle our problems. I’ve found it to be quite different from conventional therapy sessions.

Client
Olga helps engaging with a client who otherwise might be lonely, withdrawn, suffer depression, just to name a few.
Olga is an excellent therapist and an exceptional professional. Her constant attention and the variety of ideas she brings to address concerns are highly valued, as they have helped me to view things from different perspectives and to understand the emotions I am experiencing. I truly appreciate and want to thank her immensely for her dedication, trust, and respect in each session

What is expressive arts therapy?
Qualified expressive arts therapists guide clients in using mediums like visual arts, drama, dance, and spoken word to explore emotions, improve self-awareness, and gain insight. This innovative approach fosters mental health and well-being through artistic exploration, fostering personal growth in a compassionate and supportive setting.
Do you do counselling, expressive arts therapy, or both at the same time?
Whether you seek counselling, expressive arts therapy, or a blend of modalities, the choice is always yours. Our therapeutic approach is centered around you, ensuring that your individual needs and preferences guide each session. We prioritize creating a comfortable and safe space where you’re free to express yourself, and we commit to open dialogue and transparency, helping you make informed choices as you navigate your therapeutic path.
Is artistic skill required for expressive arts therapy?
Expressive arts therapy welcomes everyone, regardless of their artistic skill level. It’s not about creating perfect art; it’s a therapeutic practice that focuses on expressing feelings and thoughts through self-expression. The goal is to engage in meaningful conversations with a therapist while exploring your emotions. So, it’s all about your personal experiences and emotions rather than technical art abilities.

Do I need a referral?
No, you do not need a referral or a Mental Health plan from your treating clinician to engage in counselling and expressive arts therapy. However, we welcome referrals from your GP and other clinicians, as this allows you to receive coordinated care from a multidisciplinary team. This could benefit your treatment as it enables communication amongst clinicians, coordinated care, and individualised attention.
Can I get a rebate?
Medicare rebates do not cover most counselling services, including ours. We strive to keep our pricing accessible, and our fees are often lower than out-of-pocket expenses from psychology consultations, even after a rebate. While psychology and counselling are different professions, both offer valuable support for mental health and well-being. We encourage you to consider your options and make informed decisions to find the best fit for your needs.
